PPIH Group Sustainability

MSCI
An index developed by Morgan Stanley Capital International, USA. Constructed for the top 700 stocks by market capitalization with superior gender diversity. PPIH has been selected as a part of this index consecutively since 2023.

Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index

An index developed by Morningstar, Inc. Incorporates companies whose Gender Diversity Policies are embedded in their corporate culture and who are committed to equal opportunities for their employees regardless of gender. PPIH has been selected as a part of this index consecutively since 2022.

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

FTSE
An index developed by FTSE Russell, and 100% owned by the London Stock Exchange. Uses FTSE Russell's ESG rating model based on the global ESG standards. Selects companies with relatively high ESG ratings within each industry, eventually neutralizing industry weights at sector levels. PPIH has been selected as a part of this index consecutively since 2022.

Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index
An index developed by Bloomberg in the US. Selects outstanding companies for their commitment to formulating and expressing policies that promote gender equality and improving transparency. PPIH has been continuously selected as a part of this index consecutively since 2019.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
An index that uses TOPIX, a representative stock price index that shows trends in the Japanese market, as its universe, and determines the weighting of its constituent companies, focusing on the status of environmental information disclosure and the level of carbon efficiency. PPIH has been selected as a part of this index consecutively since 2018.

An international NGO based in the U.K. that works in the environmental field, including climate change; conducting surveys and evaluations of the world's major companies and cities, asking them to disclose information about how they are addressing climate change, water management, etc. In 2022, PPIH was selected as a management level of B in the "Climate Change" area.

Sustainalytics

Sustainalytics
Supports development and implemation of responsive investment strategies by investors around the world, as well as delivering ESG research, ratings, and provision of data. Combines exposures and concepts of managements when scoring the risks, in order to provide ESG ratings that are comperable throughout industries. PPIH was ranked as Low Risk in 2022.

Barrier-Free Mind
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government registers companies that are working to raise awareness and promote the necessary actions to create a society and environment in which all people can participate equally as "Barrier-Free Mind" companies. The PPIH Group has been registered as a Tokyo Metropolitan Government "Barrier-Free Mind" Supporting Company (second term in FY2022) for its efforts in promoting diversity awareness and respect, as well as raising awareness and understanding amongst its employees.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

TCFD
A task force established under the Financial Stability Board (FSB) by a request from G20. Recommends companies to provide consistent, comparable, reliable, accurate, and efficient disclosure on climate-related financial information. PPIH has announced our endorsement of the TCFD in February 2022, and now discloses climate-related financial information on our website.

GX League

GX
Established as a place where companies aiming to achieve sustainable growth in the present and future society collaborate with government, academia, and finance to take on the challenge of GX (GX: green transformation), with a view to achieving carbon neutrality and social transformation in 2050. PPIH became a supporter of the GX League in November 2022.

Japan Climate Leaders' Partnership (JCLP)

JCLP
A coalition of Japanese companies created in 2009, based on the recognition that industries should have a sound sense of crisis and take positive actions in order to acheve a decarbonized society. As a local partner of "The Climate Group", an international NPO promoting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, JCLP works on popularization of global initiatives that target decarbonation. PPIH joined in June 2022.

Established in 2009 by 23 Eco-First Companies, certified by the Ministry of the Environment as environmentally advanced companies, to ensure that the Eco-First Commitments, individually declared by the Minister of the Environment, are put into practice and that advanced and unique environmental conservation activities are further enhanced through cooperation and strong promotion. UNY has been a member since its establishment.
