Current actions on website accessibility
- Build sites on the HTML version 4.01 or higher, and avoid using unsupported tags.
- Do not disable the browser's basic features, and do not modify operation menus such as the address bar and status bar or prevent them from being displayed.
- Standardize the navigation area, display order, and terms used, and use a consistent page layout and style.
- Ensure that links to external sites, or that open in a new window (such as PDFs) are clearly marked as such.
- Ensure that moving elements such as slideshows on a front page can be freely paused and resumed by the user.
- Set up alternate text describing all images for those using screen readers.
